We are home to the Mark twain national forest that is great for hunting, and our roads are the scenic route to Branson for entertainment. Ava is the world headquarters for the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breeders Association. Recently the Missouri Fox Trotting horse was officially designated the “State horse of Missouri”. People come from all over the world to participate in this event which cumulates over the 1st week in September each year.
