Located just 50 miles from both Springfield and Branson, Ava offers a small town atmosphere, down home celebrations and festivals, and a Triple A school system.
Ava is the national head quarters of the Missouri Fox Trotting Horse Breed Association, which holds two annual festivals, spring and fall, drawing thousands to our community. We are also part of the Mark Twain National Forest, where we have a Glade Top Trail festival each year celebrating the beauty of the Ozark Mountains.
Bull Shoals lake is only 30 minutes away which is known for its great fishing, camping, and resorts.
Ava also has several recreational opportunities. Our main park area has a large swimming pool which is open all summer. We have a movie theater, country club with a 9 hole golf course, walking trails, tennis courts, and pavilions within the park for family activities. We also have many civil organizations such as our Chamber of Commerce, Lions Club and Kiwanis Club as well as fraternal organizations
This Treasure of the Ozarks is full of friendly people, fascinating historical and cultural heritage, and diverse educational and employment opportunities. We welcome new businesses and work well with potential business, operators and entrepreneurs.
